Juggling and Circus Arts
Through the course of Juggling and Circus Arts, the Montessori School provides the children the opportunity to perform a particular activity, complete in all respects: physical, emotional and relational.
During the first part of the lesson, a warm-up phase consists of movement games through which all muscles are activated for an harmonious body development during the growth phase. To follow, according to different ages and different learning paths of each child, the technical part provides:
- Juggling and Manipulation of objects: balls, handkerchiefs, circles, chinese dishes
- Preacrobatica: jumps, flipped, bearings, wheels
- Clowning: comic use of the body, slapstick, use of voice and rhythm. The course is taught by Gabriella Baldoni and her assistants, partners of Association Campacavallo, active since many years in this sector as well as the Equestrian sector.
The Method. It is important that each child is comfortable with other children and lives a positive, fun and non-competitive experience. The techniques introduced during the lessons are later practiced by the children who transform them creatively, both individually and in groups. Juggling and Circus Arts have within them various possibilities and allow each child to find a discipline in which to feel most comfortable. In the circus, the differences are not a limit, but a new opportunity to explore. It is an educational experience that has the goal not only to teach new techniques, but also to allow the children to search for a creative expressiveness as an important tool for healthy growth.
