Pet Education at the Children’s House

Starting in January 2027, we will hold 10 Pet Education sessions for the children at the Children’s House (taking place weekly or every two weeks), in partnership with Dogbliss!

The star of the project will be Cesare—a majestic and incredibly gentle Golden Retriever—who will guide the children as they discover the characteristics, needs, and ways in which dogs communicate.

The relationship with an animal can be a valuable opportunity for growth: through observation and interaction, children can develop empathy, patience, self-regulation skills and stress management, while simultaneously strengthening their autonomy, concentration, sense of responsibility, respect for rules and ability to care for another living being. This experience perfectly aligns with the values of our Montessori approach, fostering respect, peace education, and a sense of belonging to a community.

The safety and well-being of the children and of Cesare will be at the heart of the project. As a dog involved in Animal-Assisted Interventions, Cesare possesses specific fitness for it and undergoes periodic evaluations of his physical and mental state, as well as regular veterinary check-ups. His well-being will be monitored throughout the entire process by the professionals in charge.
